Response to COVID-19

The coronavirus pandemic has produced an even greater need for parental support and engagement.  The Universal Parenting Places are offering counseling services via telehealth and by phone, following all HIPPA requirements. In addition, in April 2020, the UPPs began hosting a variety of virtual sessions on its Facebook page — from support groups and yoga to story time and meditation — all aimed at helping parents relieve stress and maintain strong, healthy connections with their children. In addition, with funding from the Shelby County Commission, from October through December, ACE Awareness conducted Parenting in the Pandemic: Tools for Surviving and Thriving.
